James 1:22-25
"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does."
Sometimes we need to do what the old Nike campaign said and "Just do it". I know far too many people who can quote scripture, talk about God in everyday conversation, and eloquently express their faith, but many of them fail to make even the slightest impact for God. Let's not be the man who gazes at the Word, but let's listen to God and then, "Just do it". Our world needs us to hear from God, by reading his word, and then acting on it. If more of us "just do it" we can be part of a revival like the world has never known.
