This past week has been a difficult one for families in our church. We have mom's, dad's, and cousins in critical or terminal conditions for various reasons. The good news is we serve a God that is Above the Storm. Even though we don't understand why bad things happen in this world, God that has a different perspective. When Job wanted a response from God as to why he was suffering so greatly, God responded in Job 38:4 "Where were you when I laid the Earth's foundation?"
God's eternal perspective is so much different than ours. He sees things we do not see. Although our questions are valid, God's purposes and plans are so much bigger than our own. We need to continue to "walk in faith and not by sight" even in the most difficult of times. One day we will have a different perspective than we have today. When that day comes we will rejoice in the righteousness and wisdom of our God.
Prayer Focus: Pray that we can walk in faith through the most difficult of times. Also pray for members of our extended church family who need your prayers today-Celia Calvillo, Phil Heick, and Cheryl Young.
